About the Course

"Dinosaur Math! Preschool and Early Learners" will be an ongoing weekly class tailored to preschool and beginner level math concepts. The class will be a stand alone class and students can join at any time. Each class will cover many different topics, but the topics will be a mixture from the list below. The class will be supplemental and function as a basic introduction into math. The class will rotate each week in 4 phases: Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D. Class A is the easiest; Class D is the most challenging.

Class A:
Counting to 10
Number recognition
Comparative questions

Class B:
Shapes
Sorting by characteristic
Patterns

Class C:
Count up to 20; backwards by 10s
Count and write
More or less

Class D:
Count by 10s
Bar graphs (using pictographs)
Break apart numbers

Back to Class A; same topics, different questions.

The class is presented in presentation style and will feature 5 dinosaur friends: a brontosaurus named Bryan who likes to wear hats; Tina the triceratops who loves makeup tutorials; Quinn the quetzalcoatlus who is very shy; Tyrone the T-Rex who scares easily; and the color changing stegosaurus Steve. These friends will find themselves in various scenarios in which students will have to help them. The class is fun, engaging, and energetic!

***Please note, the student will not be learning facts about dinosaurs. These dinosaurs have personalities and quirks, and they will encounter things like mammals, highways, boats, etc. on their journeys around the world. The dinosaurs are purely for entertainment. The dinosaurs are 3D models within the class presentation, not handheld toys.***
